“If this hadn’t been there, I would just be at home,” says Quiten, one of the young people. “Here I get to know people that I would otherwise never meet.”
The idea came from coordinator Jeff Nuyttens, who got inspiration from a hobby club in Anderlecht. “The cars, batteries and materials all cost money,” he says. “With the support of Een Hart voor West-Vlaanderen, we were able to really make the project come true. We also provide food during the activities, and there is now even a screen printing workshop. We want to do that well, but that requires resources.”
