Among the nightlife on Marktstraat, near Waagplein, things got completely out of hand for a 35-year-old man on the night of Friday 27 to Saturday 28 June. While he is waiting to go home, he is abused. The man receives a hard blow to the head and immediately loses consciousness. He comes to in the ambulance.
Jaw fracture and concussion
The victim appears to have suffered a double jaw fracture and a concussion. An operation was necessary, followed by a lengthy recovery. The police speak of a serious assault and are urgently looking for the perpetrator.
The suspect is a man with a light skin color, estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old and approximately 1.75 to 1.85 meters tall. He has short dark hair, dark eyebrows and was wearing a white collared shirt, light-colored jeans and white sneakers that night.
