Amateur club Excelsior Maassluis has pulled off a stunt in the KNVB Cup by eliminating Premier League side Excelsior. In the final second of extra time, the only goal was scored in Maassluis: 1-0. Hoek’s amateurs surprised FC Eindhoven, active in the Kitchen Champion Division. Hoek scored the winner deep into extra time: 3-2. Heracles Almelo won with interim coach Hendrie Krüzen in Breda against NAC: 1-4.
