Disappointment at BIJ1 to once again miss out on a parliamentary seat in the exit poll
Just like in 2023, BIJ1 will not get a seat in the House of Representatives, according to the exit poll by Ipsos I&O on behalf of NOS and RTL. This led to disappointment among party leader Tofik Dibi and those present at the party’s results evening in Rotterdam, an ANP reporter noted.
In the Rotterdam theater where BIJ1 meets to hear the voting results with intimates, there is surprise when it turns out that the party is not mentioned in the first exit poll. The hall where there was dancing and singing shortly before is quickly empty in the run-up to the second exit poll, with the candidate MPs in the lead.
“We are big in the cities,” a party employee explains the lack of BIJ1 in the provisional results. “Our votes probably won’t be counted until tomorrow morning.”
