Stellantis announces the start of production of the new generation of Jeep Compass at the Melfi plant, in the province of Potenza. After the exit of its previous generation, as well as Fiat 500X and Jeep Renegade, the Potenza plant was currently dedicated to the production of only the DS N°8, a flagship offered exclusively with electric engines. With the return of the Compass, however, a Melfi we start working again on a model with larger production volumes, as well as on internal combustion engines. The new series is in fact currently available with both an engine electric from 213 HP which with one a mild hybrid petrol from 214 HP.

Three other versions of the new Jeep Compass will arrive later, a plug-in hybrid from 195 HP and two electrica front Long Range with a 96 kWh battery, 232 HP and a range of 650 km, and an all-wheel drive model with 375 HP of total power. Currently only the prices for the first two launch versions have been released First Edition. The mild hybrid petrol Compass can be purchased in Italy starting from 41,900 euroswhile for electricity you need at least 49,900 euros. The commercial results of the new generation of Jeep Compass will be fundamental for the relaunch of the Melfi plant, which, due to the exit of the most successful models that were produced here, has recorded a 50% reduction in volumes compared to the previous year, which becomes an even -87% compared to the pre-Covid era according to Cisl-Fim data.
