Karthik Balagopalan, Managing Director of Puma India, is leaving the Herzogenaurach-based sportswear retailer.
The India boss has decided to leave Puma to “focus on family priorities in Germany,” the company said on Tuesday. A successor will be announced shortly.
Balagopalan assumed his previous role in August 2023, succeeding Abhishek Ganguly, who spent 17 years at Puma in India and served as Managing Director there since 2014. Balagopalan also looks back on a long career at Puma. He has been active in various positions for the company since 2006. Before taking over the management of the Indian market, he worked as Global Director Retail and E-Commerce.
