More indigenous peoples without contact with the outside world than expected

There are at least 196 indigenous peoples worldwide who consciously have no contact with the outside world. Survival International, an organization that promotes the rights of these peoples, has mapped this out in a new report. There are more than previous estimates, which assumed “at least a hundred” groups.
