Eintracht Braunschweig takes action: the club bans two people from the stadium because of racist insults and the use of National Socialist slogans.

Eintracht Braunschweig has drawn conclusions after two right-wing extremist incidents this season and imposed nationwide stadium bans on two people for a period of two years. The club responded to racist and xenophobic insults that occurred in two separate cases in August and October.

In the first case, according to the club, xenophobic insults, bodily harm and the use of National Socialist slogans occurred on a bus to Gifhorn after the home game against Greuther Fürth on August 9th. On October 3rd, an Eintracht player was racially insulted in the main stand after the home game against SC Paderborn. Read more about this here. The police are investigating both cases and have initiated criminal proceedings.

After examining the incidents, Eintracht Braunschweig issued the two-year bans based on the nationwide guidelines for dealing with stadium bans. “Our tolerance ends when people are racially insulted or National Socialist slogans are chanted,” the association explained.

Eintracht Braunschweig points to its commitment to diversity, tolerance and respect. With projects such as the “Protected Space” concept, the aim is to offer help to those affected by discrimination. “Anyone who tramples on our values has no place in our unity,” says the club statement.
