This concerns 5.44 hectares of land, between the Yser and the church. The Province wants to create extra space for water, new nature on the edge of the village and a pleasant place to walk and relax. “Wet nature is an ally against climate change. With flower-rich grasslands, reed zones and less intensive grazing, we restore biodiversity and make the village edge attractive and more liveable. Roesbrugge thus gains in natural value and in peace and recreation,” says deputy for Nature, Environment and Landscape, Jurgen Vanlerberghe.
