Jon Sheptock used to lead a Baptist church in Texas, but in recent years he has also been successful as a Christian musician. He became known to a large audience because he sang the US national anthem at a Donald Trump rally in 2022. There is also a photo of the two together.
However, at the end of September he was questioned by the police on charges of possession and production of child pornography. Now the arrest came after his alleged victim said Sheptock stole a photo of her nine years ago when she was 17.

First Montgomery Baptist Church, where Sheptock previously worked, confirmed the arrest in a statement, citing “allegations involving child pornography.” He was relieved of all his duties.
The congregation also confirmed, “He had no responsibility for supervising children in church or school, except occasionally in a large group with other adults. At this time, we have no information to suggest that any of the children in our care were involved, but we are taking every precaution to protect our children and maintain the integrity of our ministry.”
