Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappé seems to have finally arrived at Real Madrid. Before the Clasico on Sunday, he still expressed thoughtful words about professional football.

Happiness is relative. Even for a world star like Kylian Mbappé. Real Madrid fans are probably of the opinion that the Frenchman must be one of the happiest people in the world. After all, he recently set a new record for the Royals.

Mbappé scored in eleven consecutive games, a new record. In eight games for Madrid and three games for the French national team. His haul: 15 goals.

In an important phase of life

Especially after his first year in the Spanish capital, in which Mbapé still had minor adjustment and injury problems here and there despite scoring 31 goals in 34 league games, almost all of the problems on the pitch have now apparently disappeared. The lightning-fast star striker has finally arrived at Real in terms of sport.

Coach Xabi Alonso, who has been coach at Real since the summer, also seems to see it that way. “He will always score goals, but his influence is greater. His teammates follow him. You can tell he is at a very important stage in his life and he is developing after adapting over the last year.”said the 43-year-old former Bayer 04 Leverkusen coach appreciatively.

Football as fatalism

So things are going well for Mbappé. Or not? Off the field, the 26-year-old’s doubts about his job seem to be great. “I’m a fatalist when it comes to the world of football, but not when it comes to life. Life is great. Football is what it is” he recently told the French sports newspaper L’Equipe.

What did he mean by that? “I like to say that the people who go to the stadium are lucky enough to just see a show and not know what is happening behind the scenes. Honestly, if I didn’t have this passion, the world of football would have disgusted me a long time ago”he added. Mbappé did not name any specific topics.

Full concentration on the Clasico

The Frenchman seems to be a little confused by the constant pressure he is exposed to and the fact that he is a world star. At least if you believe his mother. “He doesn’t really have a life off the field, but that’s the life he chose. He can’t even walk down the street anymore. That makes me sad” said Fayza Lamari during a recent panel discussion on the topic “Mothers of Champions”.

Apparently Mbappé can concentrate fully on his job, his calling, at least on match days. It will be up to him again on Sunday (4:15 p.m.). Then the game of games in Spain begins, the Clasico league leaders Real Madrid meet second FC Barcelona.

“We stay on our path. Always together. Now it’s about the Clasico. See you, Madridistas!” Mbappé posted on social media. The life of the exceptional French striker revolves around this game.
