Almost 400 criminal cases opened in Kazakhstan after riots – RBK

In Kazakhstan, 388 criminal cases were opened after the riots, reported press service of the president.

Cases were opened on the facts of murders, the use of violence against government officials, hooliganism and attacks on government buildings.

In addition, 412 pre-trial investigations have been launched, “including those on acts of terrorism and murder.” 2,161 people were brought to administrative responsibility for violating the state of emergency.

In turn, the prosecutor’s office, together with the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition, continue checks against companies suspected of conspiring in setting prices for liquefied gas.
