How was OSMASC born and what inspired you to create it?
The idea was born from a need that we saw every day in our own pets and in our patients: the lack of a health system designed especially for them. As a veterinarian, I came across many cases in which the owners could not afford certain treatments, or postponed check-ups for financial reasons.
One day, talking with my partner, José Antonio Spotowe agreed that it was time to do something different. He, with his experience in administration, and I, with my perspective from veterinary medicine, decided to join forces to create a social work that will provide animals with the same quality and accessibility that people have.
This is how it was born OSMASCmore than three years ago, with the dream of improve pet health and well-being through the prevention and comprehensive care.
What type of services do you offer and how does your coverage work?
Our social work offers from highly complex servicessuch as surgeries, hospitalizations, emergency consultations, complementary studies, laboratory and vaccines, up to recreation and aesthetic servicessuch as dog/feline daycare and hairdressing.
We have nationwide coverage and, until now, with a network of more than 100 providers distributed throughout the countrywhere members receive medical care according to the contracted plan.
What do you think is the differential of OSMASC compared to other options on the market?
Our main difference is that We have a refund system which allows affiliates continue seeing your trusted veterinarianeven if it is not part of our network.
Additionally, we provide a quick and personalized response to the concerns of our members and providers, both by telephone and through our social networks. We like to be close, accompany and solve.
How do you imagine the future of the company?
Our future vision is keep growing in number of affiliates and providers, and offer more and better services.
The objective is clear: become, in the medium term, the most important social work for pets in the country. Because we believe that, just as people deserve comprehensive coverage, our pets too.
