Political parties participating in the House of Representatives election are obliged to submit overviews of donations to the parties and candidates, as well as the parties’ debts, to the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations prior to the election. These overviews provide an overview of the financial resources of political parties participating in the election of October 29, 2025. The ministry publishes these overviews a week before election day.

Gifts and debts

The overviews of donations and debts of political parties cover the period January 1, 2024 to October 8, 2025. The overviews contain donations totaling € 1,000 or more and debts of € 25,000 or more. The overview of candidates also includes donations totaling € 1,000 or more. Only in the election year does a lower threshold amount of a total of €767.12 or more apply. This amount has been reduced because the year is not yet over.

At the time of publication, all 27 political parties have submitted a statement of responsibility. The Committee on the Supervision of the Finances of Political Parties (Ctfpp) advises the minister on monitoring compliance with the obligations. The advice will be made public at a later date, together with a substantive response from the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.

After the House of Representatives election

Political parties with a seat in the Senate or House of Representatives are obliged to submit additional overviews to the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations no later than November 29. This overview is about the donations to and debts of political parties in the last three weeks before the election. These additional overviews will be made public no later than December 29.

Accountability for 2024

Political parties with a seat in the Senate or House of Representatives must also submit a financial statement for the past calendar year to the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations before July 1 each year. The annual financial reports and complete overviews of donations and debts for 2024 can be found here.
