Inter Milan and Arsenal FC continue to storm through the Champions League undefeated. Nick Woltemade can also celebrate with Newcastle United.

Arsenal FC and Inter Milan have impressively expanded their impeccable records in the Champions League. The Premier League table leader surprisingly won the top game against Atlético Madrid 4-0 (0-0). Inter also won 4-0 (2-0) at Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilloise and, like Arsenal, achieved their third win in their third game.

But Arsenal made the biggest statement. Defender Gabriel (57th minute), Gabriel Martinelli (64th) and a brace from new signing Viktor Gyökeres (67th/70th) ensured the clear success. The Spanish, who were once again weak defensively, suffered their second defeat and slipped further down the table. Arsenal, on the other hand, are well on course for the knockout phase.

The same applies to Inter, who also had hardly any problems in Belgium. Denzel Dumfries (41′), Lautaro Martínez (45’+1), Hakan Çalhanoğlu (53’/penalty) and Pio Esposito (76′) scored the goals for the Italians. Manchester City also had no problems in Villarreal and won thanks to goals from Erling Haaland (17th) and Bernardo Silva (40th).

National player Woltemade was also happy, as he didn’t score his own goal this time, but was able to celebrate a clear success. Anthony Gordon (32nd) and Harvey Barnes (70th/83rd) scored in the win against Benfica, which remains without a point in this premier class season. Woltemade delighted the fans at St. James Park with a one-two with Gordon via backheel, Barnes did the rest.
