Caroline van der Plas would rather die and be cremated than ever appear at the table at Today Inside again, the politician says in Story. “I was hurt badly.”
There are two major figureheads in the BBB political campaign. In addition to party leader Caroline van der Plas, Mona Keijzer is also frequently deployed. The Volendam ‘eel populist’, as Jesse Klaver calls her, was supposed to appear in Today Inside last Wednesday, but was last minute canceled by the SBS 6 talk show.
Furious at Eus
Why was Mona put forward for such an important gig at VI and not Caroline? Well, there’s an obvious reason for that. “Eus (Özcan Akyol, ed.) said terrible things about me on Today Inside. I will never forgive him for those outright lies,” says Caroline in the Story.
She continues: “He said live on TV that my ex-husband Dennis, the father of my children, had attempted suicide because of me. Eus based this on Marcia’s book, he said. But that was not in Marcia’s book at all. It is also not true!”
On a bridge
So what about? Caroline says: “That book states that Dennis tied himself to the bridge to draw attention to a foundation and the fact that he did not see his children and not to commit suicide. But Dennis just saw his children during that period.”
So Özcan has spoken nonsense, according to Caroline. “A guy like that, Eus, who just blurts this out… That can still make me emotional. He just says that as a mother I would have driven the father of my sons to suicide. How crazy are you if you say something like that and it’s not true?”
‘Pretty dead!’
Caroline then bursts into tears, the Story writes. Why? “It still makes me emotional. And then Johan Derksen says all kinds of things about it, without saying a word of it is true. People sometimes ask me: ‘Will we see you at Today Inside?’ I would rather die than sit there again.”
The BBB politician throws up on the men’s trio. “Those men hurt me and my children so badly, seriously. And they just laugh at that ‘stupid’ Van der Plas.”
Call Eus
Has Caroline never talked it out with Eus? “I spent an hour talking to him about it. But we couldn’t reach an agreement.”
And with Johan and Wilfred? “No, I just can’t do that anymore. It’s being so ignored. I’ve been invited to Wilfred’s podcast As Long as It’s Fun. I’m not going to do that.”
