Newborn baby found alive in New York subway station after anonymous report

In New York, police found an abandoned baby in a subway station in Manhattan on Monday morning around half past ten local time. The newborn girl was found in the subway station at West 34th Street and 7th Avenue. She was conscious at the time and was described by police as ‘alert’.
