According to the city council members, it is difficult to justify that such a large amount goes to the churches every year. “It is difficult to explain the number of people who still actively participate in the church,” says Cattrijsse. “In financially difficult times you cannot continue to sell that to your residents.”
The Central Church Board of Bredene denies the allegations and says it is willing to consult. They would not be aware of a registered letter.
