A 9-year-old girl was grabbed in Maarheeze by a man who gave her a kiss on the forehead. It concerned a 34-year-old man of no fixed abode. He has been arrested by the police.
The police tracked him down last Saturday after a report of shoplifting. An alert resident of the village arrested the man after a signal from the store and handed him over to the police. The incident with the girl also emerged during the investigation.
According to a police spokesperson, the suspect has now confessed in both cases. The man will remain in custody until his case appears before the police judge on December 19. The investigation into what exactly happened is still ongoing.
