The Sport 2000 retail association appoints Maria Sarter to the role of Head of Marketing.
In this position, Sarter will lead the marketing team, the company, which is part of the ANWR Group, announced on Monday. Her area of responsibility includes the sports retailers Sport 2000, Absolute Run and Absolute Teamsport, cooperation with the trade marketing of the individual divisions as well as the management and further development of cooperation with the brand partners.
Together with her team, the 33-year-old will be tasked with further developing the strategic direction of the group’s central marketing, which is active in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
“Maria Sarter brings with her a variety of experiences and skills – what is particularly noteworthy is her strong strategic thinking and her sound marketing experience as well as her clear leadership skills,” said Margit Gosau, Managing Director of SPORT 2000. “With her, we are also enriching our senior manager team with a female voice and another fresh, young perspective.”
The new head of marketing comes from our own ranks. From November 2024 she was active in the company as Senior Brand Marketing Manager. Before her time at Sport 2000, she worked as a project manager at the Pioneers agency with a focus on retail and event management.
