Girls want -celebration concert will be held on October 3, 2026, when exactly 30 years have passed since the release of Nylon Beat’s debut album.
Nylon Beat operated from 1995 to 2003. In the podcast, Geagea and Anttila also remember the band’s last moments.
The decision to stop was made during Geagea and Anttila’s joint holiday in Cyprus.
During the ten-day vacation, Geagea and Anttila disagreed on everything, according to them. Disagreements arose over musical issues as well as, for example, the choice of a place to spend the evening.
– Suddenly we have a completely different tone in everything we do. It got into an argument, Anttila says.
During the trip, the decision was made to end the band. The decision was emotional, but Anttila and Geagea see a silver lining in the trip.
– It was great that we were on vacation because we had no one but each other. Couldn’t get support from a friend or spouse, says Anttila.

Nylon Beat has returned to the concert stages after quitting a few times before. The band last performed in the summer of 2024 at the Helsinki City Festival.
Nylon Beat’s story began in 1995, when the duo performed on MTV3 Runwayin the program. The band became one of the most successful domestic bands of the 90s and the turn of the 2000s. Especially the band Liaralbum was a big success and topped the official album chart.
