The Indian airline Indigo has now placed a firm order for 30 Airbus A350 aircraft.
This increases the airline’s A350 order backlog to a total of 60 aircraft, as Airbus announced on Friday afternoon. Airbus did not provide financial details about the firm order.
The Airbus A350 is a twin-engine, long-haul, wide-body aircraft. The airliner has the highest proportion of carbon fiber composite materials in the fuselage and wing structure. India is one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world and is experiencing a sharp increase in international travel.
