Union continues to press and Dina Orschmann forces the ball. But your pass to Weidauer is a bit too pointed. The Iron team immediately followed up and Weidauer tried again seconds later from around 14 meters from a half-right position. But your shot rolls clearly past the goal to the left.

Her counterpart, head coach Stephan, has to change three times due to injury. The 33-year-old has to do without Hoffmann, who tore a cruciate ligament in the game against SGS Essen and will probably miss the entire season, as well as Marleen Schimmer (ankle injury), Lara Marti (torn cruciate ligament), Diana Nemeth (torn cruciate ligament) and the more ailing Julia Magerl and Luca Graf. The 20-year-old Ásgeirsdóttir joins the team for Hoffmann. Starke and Kadowaki also take a seat on the bench. To do this, Chmielinski and Boboy, who is only 18 years old, begin. Due to the many injuries, RB only has seven players on the bench.
11:43
Union head coach Ailien Poese is making no changes to her starting eleven despite the 1-2 defeat against 1. FC Köln last weekend. As against Cologne, Bösl starts in goal and Weidauer and Campbell start in attack. The two Orschmann sisters are also back in the starting line-up. However, the coaching team has to do without Aagaard, Aehling, Bauereisen, Eurlings, Köster, Pawollek, Reissner, Şakar and Steinert and only has six substitutes on the bench.
11:27
The two teams will meet for the first time in the Bundesliga. So far there have been six meetings in the Regionalliga Nordost and one duel in the DFB Cup. The Iron team won two games and the RBL four times. Once there was a draw. The last time in the cup, in September 2024, the Berliners narrowly won 1-0 against the Bundesliga club.
11:20
RB Leipzig also didn’t get the desired start to the season. After six match days, the Saxons are in ninth place with seven points. After a 2-0 win at the start of the season against 1. FC Köln, head coach Jonas Stephan’s team suffered three defeats in a row. Among other things, the Leipzig team lost to Munich (0:3), Frankfurt (3:4) and the newcomers from Hamburg (0:1). The Red Bulls have been unbeaten for three matchdays. After a 7-0 win in the first round of the DFB Cup against the second division team from Andernach, there was then a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Nürnberg and a narrow 2-1 win against SGS Essen.
11:10
1. FC Union Berlin is tied for ninth place with RB Leipzig with seven points. After a 1-1 draw at the start of the season against the fellow promoted team from Nuremberg, there was a narrow 2-3 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen on the second matchday. This was followed by two wins for last season’s second division champions against SGS Essen (2:0) and FC Carl Zeiss Jena (2:1). Recently, however, there were two defeats against Freiburg (0:3) and 1. FC Köln (1:2).
