Film director Tuukka Temonen published a touching update in which he succinctly tells about his family’s situation. In an Instagram post, he shared photos from his family’s yard. In the shots, it is dusk, and they show the lights of the yard.

Ordinary things like being at home are not taken for granted, because the mother of the family, the actress Olga Temonen has brain cancer. The illness has changed the family’s everyday life. Tuukka Temonen told Iltalehti at the end of September that Olga’s wife needs constant help in everyday life. His movement has become more difficult and is very difficult at the moment.
– He can communicate, but not all words come out of his mouth in the same way anymore. He is fully conscious and aware of the world around him, but communication is limited, Temonen told Iltalehte.
– We understand Olga completely, because we have traveled together for more than 20 years. This is such a bond that words are not needed even in this situation, he continued.

Since 2023, Olga Temonen has been suffering from fourth-degree glioma, i.e. brain cancer, which cannot be operated on. The recurrence of Olga’s brain tumor was reported in July. The film director recently told Esko Eerikäinen Sunday brunch-radio program about getting well after his wife’s tumor relapsed. The director described feeling as if he was bent over and a weight blanket was covering his head and shoulders.
