Recommendations of the Editorial team

The joint autograph session by Till Lindemann and Joey Kelly for the new book “The Rhine” was postponed at short notice. The Rammstein singer’s official channels announced this on Friday evening (October 17th). However, the new venue remains nebulous: it will now take place “in the immediate vicinity of the Rammstein store” – a formulation that leaves many fans wondering where they should actually go on Monday (October 20th).

Lindemann and Kelly were originally announced at the “Astra Kulturhaus” in Berlin-Friedrichshain, but now the book signing (still on October 20, 2025 from 4 p.m.) will take place somewhere around Hertzstrasse 63 in Berlin-Pankow. The exact location is not mentioned in the post. Management is thus causing confusion: what exactly “in the immediate vicinity” means remains unclear. Are you talking about the same street? From an outbuilding? Or even a completely different place in the same part of the city?

What does “in the immediate vicinity” even mean?

In legal and bureaucratic language, the expression usually means a walking distance of a few meters to a maximum of a few hundred meters. But in practice that can mean anything from a building directly across the street to an event venue a few blocks away.

In this case, the unclear announcement could have been deliberately chosen in order to only announce the exact location shortly before the start. This would ensure the safety of both fans and artists. A completely understandable motive given the ongoing tensions surrounding Till Lindemann. It is possible that there will be a notice or signage on site or staff will guide fans in the right direction.

Safety concerns and relocation

The accompanying message speaks plainly: “In the last few days, hostility, attempts at intimidation, threats and calls for a boycott have created a climate around the event that no longer makes it possible to hold it safely. To protect the fans, the team and all employees, we have therefore decided to move the location of the autograph session.”

Apparently they want to avoid aggressive opponents of the event disrupting the performance. The message therefore also makes a clear appeal for calm and respect. Organizationally, everything remains the same: only the book “The Rhine” will be signed – only available by card payment. One book is allowed per person, selfies are expressly not permitted and larger bags must be left in the cloakroom.
