Australian driver by Chaz Mostert33, the reaction to the interruption amuses the world.

Mostert was involved when the Bathurst 1,000 race was held in Australia.

According to Fox Sports the Australian driver did not head to the pit, but walked into the crowd of spectators and got a beer can in his hand. The spectators weren’t even Mostert’s friends, but casual motorsport fans.

Firecracker-like the trick amused both the commentators of the TV broadcast and the audience on the spot.

– I bet you how long it will take him to get a beer, Fox Sports commentator and six-time Bathurst winner Mark Skaife said on TV.

Like Räikkönen

The capture strongly reminded me of the F1 legend Kimi Raikkonen At the Monaco GP in 2006.

The Finn’s car overheated and got stuck on the side of the track. Räikkönen was not left wondering, but climbed over the fence and walked to his yacht in driving gear. A couple of laps later, the TV cameras showed Räikkönen enjoying his yacht in the jacuzzi.

Mostert didn’t get into the fray, but he got applause from the audience for his relaxed attitude. The staff of the driver’s stable also burst into laughter.

– We didn’t want the day to end like this. Chaz is on the mountain drinking beer with fans. He’s probably happier than he’s been all weekend. He seems to be enjoying himself! team manager Ryan Walkinshaw quoth.

According to Fox, Mostert’s car had gear problems earlier in the race. The car that “sounded like a tractor” finally froze on the side of the track.

It was the first time that Mostert has had to stop the race in question.
