The new “South Park” episode covers the viral “6-7” meme, JD Vance’s hunt for Trump’s Antichrist baby and Peter Thiel’s exorcism

In 2024, “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced that the 27th season of their series would not appear until the following year because they wanted to avoid a parody of Donald Trump during the election campaign. Although the election campaign was not covered, they have targeted the president in every episode of the current season without exception.

The episodes each highlight a different aspect of the Republican’s authoritarian government – from the suppression of media critics to the use of ICE agents as an intimidation tactic – without ever growing tired of the depiction of his supposed micro-penis.

In the sixth episode of the satirical comedy show, Donald Trump is expecting a baby with Satan, who must be eliminated for various reasons. Three of the most powerful men in the USA then make it their mission to remove Trump’s Antichrist. According to Parker and Stone, the new episode “Twisted Christ” marks the end of season 27 and the beginning of the next one.

Donald Trump wants an abortion and Peter Thiel exorcises a fourth grader

The sixth episode picks up from the end of the previous one: Satan is pregnant with Trump’s baby. JD Vance wants to get rid of the unborn Antichrist because he sees his own plans for the White House at risk, and Peter Thiel tries to free the children of South Park from the devil.

Trump is accompanied by the Vice President to an abortion clinic, where he is to receive advice on an abortion. The 79-year-old conservative anti-self-determination activist’s ignorance immediately becomes apparent: in the waiting room, he pulls down his pants and exposes his microscopic genitals – only to be told that the procedure doesn’t work.

At the same time, the billionaire, ultra-conservative tech mogul and hyper-Christian Peter Thiel is trying to intervene at South Park Elementary School. He wants to “liberate” the students with biblical prophecies and “statistical numerology” reported to him – in reality a meaningless internet meme. Convinced that the children have committed themselves to the forces of darkness, the Palantir co-founder confiscates all private school data in order to monitor their behavior.
Of all the kids, Cartman is having the most fun. He vomits every time he hears the “6-7 meme” – which is why Thiel subjects him to an exorcism. When Cartman fights back, he claims that Greta Thunberg is the real Antichrist “with her stupid hair and her stupid bangs.”

“South Park”: A social mirror with entertainment value

Hardly any other series reacts as directly to political and cultural events as the satirical show that started in 1997. There are often only a few days between the script and the broadcast – this means that “South Park” comments on the present almost in real time.

Parker and Stone have created a format that oscillates between satire, news and pop culture commentary.
The new episode also reacts to current developments in the USA. Data monitoring to protect children’s well-being? Exaggerated in the South Park universe – but not unknown in reality. Government authorities and private companies now exchange data from, among other things, public transport and the health sector, turning the infrastructure of public services into a control mechanism. Since April 7th of this year, the ICE authority has also had access to private data in order to speed up the arrests of migrants.

The Thunberg-Antichrist comparison is also no coincidence. In several unofficial lectures in San Francisco, the multi-billionaire and venture capitalist described the Swedish activist as a “legionnaire of the Antichrist”. Thiel tends to label anyone who disagrees with him – from environmental activists to the US government – as the Antichrist.

Early start of season 28

It is unclear why the 27th season with originally planned ten episodes ends prematurely. Nevertheless, four more episodes are scheduled to appear this year. Fans had already speculated after it appeared on television programs that the sixth episode “Twisted Christ” had already been announced as the first episode of the 28th season.
