Madison Square Garden is a nice place for visitors right now.
The season of the New York Rangers has started in two parts.
The puck pride of Manhattan has won two of the five matches they have played. On the away field, the game has passed, and the Rangers claimed clear away victories over Buffalo (4–0) and Pittsburgh (6–1).
At home, the game has been in a completely different class.
The Rangers have played three games at Madison Square Garden in which they have scored zero goals. Pittsburgh, Washington and Edmonton have all taken turns blanking the hosts.
The Rangers made dubious NHL history, as no other team has previously been held to zero goals at home in three games since the start of the season.
The goal difference at home is a dull 0–6.
The next time the Rangers will face the Minnesota Wild, who started the season strong, on their home field is the night before Tuesday next week.
