The man (47) who died last Friday after being found in a park in Roosendaal was the victim of a fight. The police announced this on Tuesday evening in the Opsporing Verzocht program. A group of seven or eight men are believed to have been involved.

The seriously injured, unconscious man was found on Monday, October 6 at half past three in the afternoon in Vrouwenhof park in Roosendaal. He died from his injuries four days later.

In Opsporing Verzocht, the police reported that some witnesses have now come forward. They indicated that the deceased man was standing with a group of about seven or eight people and that a fight broke out. A man from the group is said to have fatally assaulted the victim.

This suspect then allegedly ran away in the direction of the former Chinese restaurant in the park.

The police are calling on witnesses or people who know more about the fatal assault to come forward.
