Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the news ticker on t-online you will find all the important news about the “Rothosen”.
Just a week ago, Daniel Thioune was fired after three and a half years at Fortuna Düsseldorf. But the former HSV coach (2020/21 season) could soon be back on the sidelines in the 2nd Bundesliga.
The 51-year-old is said to be a candidate for 1. FC Magdeburg, reports “Bild”. The FCM is currently bottom of the table, coach Markus Fiedler had to leave after a 0-6 friendly defeat against Eintracht Braunschweig.
Daniel Thioune is said to be not averse to getting involved in Magdeburg. However, he still has a contract with Fortuna that runs until 2028 – the two clubs would therefore also have to agree on a change.
After being demoted to the U21, Noah Katterbach is allowed to train again with the Hamburger SV professionals. The 24-year-old met with coach Merlin Polzin for a clarifying discussion, and in the afternoon the defender was on the first team pitch. The Bundesliga soccer team reported on
HSV sent Katterbach to the regional league team a good three weeks ago because the coaching team was not satisfied with the left-back’s attitude. Going to the regional league should be a “pause for thought” for Katterbach. The Cologne native left a committed impression there, which led to his return and a possible restart.
Does Hamburger SV have to look for a new goalkeeper during the winter break? The current number two, Daniel Peretz, is apparently thinking of saying goodbye early. “It’s obvious that I’m disappointed that I’m not playing in Hamburg. I didn’t think I wouldn’t be used. It was actually clear that I would play,” he told the TV station “Sport 5” after Israel’s international match against Norway (0-5).
Peretz has been playing on loan at HSV for a season since the summer; the 25-year-old is actually under contract with FC Bayern Munich. He is fighting the situation mentally. “Maybe there will be a change in January because I really want to play,” Peretz continued.
On Saturday, Hamburger SV and Werder Bremen will meet for the first time in the women’s Bundesliga. It is a special duel for HSV striker Christin Meyer: She came back to the Elbe from her green and white rivals in 2024.
