A partial homonymy, a carelessness in drafting a document and a difficult mess to resolve. There is no peace at the Ministry of Health. After the controversy over the appointment of Novax (later changed) in the vaccination commission, another dispute broke out in the hands of the Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci, as reported in the pages of the newspaper Repubblica. In the summer the ministry appointed the Technical Health Committee, a body chaired by Schillaci himself and with various technical sections. Among these there is also the “section for the supervision and control of doping and for the protection of health in sporting activities” made up of 14 members indicated by the Ministry as well as by the Sports Department of the Presidency of the Council, by the State-Regions conference, by the CONI, by the Nas, by the Higher Institute of Health and by the Ministry of Labour. Obviously these are experts in the sector.

Where is the intruder? Giorgio Parisi, Nobel Prize winner for physics in 2021, has been appointed as head of this section. It’s a shame that he doesn’t know it, so much so that he wasn’t even present at the inauguration of the Commission, and that doping doesn’t figure among his responsibilities. Instead, it appears in the CV of Attilio Parisi, rector of the University of Rome del Foro Italico, sports doctor, who was promised entry into the commission and the role of president.
