Over the past three days, 8,000 shrimp croquette lovers gathered in Ostend for the Shrimp Croquette Festival. Together they ate more than 55,000 shrimp croquettes, an absolute record for the organization. Each croquette was carefully judged by the public, a professional jury and also a children’s jury subjected the croquettes from the participating restaurants to extensive research.
