Burger remains the most popular choice in meal delivery, chip shops take third place

Belgians prefer to order burgers. This is evident from an analysis of ten years of order data from courier company Deliveroo. Since 2015, burgers remain by far the most popular – with more than a quarter of all orders. Pizza retains its second position. There is more competition for third place. While Italian cuisine achieved bronze in the early years, it was soon overtaken by sushi. Today, however, the classic Belgian ‘frituur’ makes a remarkable comeback and regains the third position.
