Penta, the hospital education department of the Impact school group in Bruges, continues to push for recognition for an additional branch of type 5 education. This special education is intended for young people with mental problems who are temporarily in a psychiatric institution.
The school group has now submitted an application for a location in the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw psychiatric hospital for the third time. Fifteen to twenty students from the age of 16 attend daily lessons there during their stay, as they cannot attend their regular school during that period.
