Residents of an apartment on Ter Heidestraat in Helmond were evacuated on Friday evening due to a fire in an apartment on the third floor. No one was injured in the fire.
The residents of the apartment where the fire broke out were said not to have been home. Apartment residents on the third floor, but also on other floors of the four-storey apartment, have been evacuated from their homes as a precaution. They stood outside on Friday evening watching the fire brigade extinguish the fire.
Smoke development
The fire broke out around half past twelve. The fire released a lot of smoke. Two fire engines and an aerial platform from the fire brigade responded to the fire.
The police also responded to the fire. The fire was under control just before midnight. One person was checked in the ambulance, but no one else was injured in the fire.
It is not clear what the cause of the fire is.
