Musician Lauri Haav tells about her mother’s death on Friday Life only in the episode.
Haavi’s mother died in the spring of 2023. The symptom had started less than two years earlier. Towards the end of 2021, his mother was diagnosed with a serious illness.
– Somehow I couldn’t meet that reality at that moment. Mom was in the middle of it, perhaps because of the children, strong and brave. Created us to hope that there is no problem and here we go together, Haav says Life only program.
Haav says his mother was still gigs in the summer of 2022.
– Suddenly, after that, I got a lot worse.
Towards the end of 2022 Haav published his song Onlywhich became a big hit. Lauri Haavi’s career went up.
“It’s hard to describe what the place is to be when your biggest dream starts to open, and at the same time your worst fear comes true,” Haav recalls.
Haav says his mother was sleeping at home. A couple of days later, Haav took the stage to perform.
– I knew I could say no. I couldn’t do it at that moment. I just kept it inside everything and went to the gigs above. I wanted to live according to what we had talked to my mother.
Haav says his dream of a musician’s dream was also his mother’s dream. Thanks to her mother’s support and hope, Haav says she is now involved Life only program.
– I’m super well -than to my mother. It’s missed every day, Haav says.
Haav says that not only the death of the mother but also his relationship ended in 2023.
“I felt that I had to experience certain things alone,” Haav says in his difference.

Lauri Haav told her mother’s illness about the progress of Iltalehti at the Life Only press conference in the summer.
– It may sound dramatic, but that feeling was like an earthly hell. This is what day by day, when it is the most beloved thing to myself slowly disappear. The most critical times were perhaps for the last year and a half. Sometimes there were better days, the artist opened earlier.
– Despite all that, some kind of hope remained. It was due to my mother’s attitude towards life. At no time did he bring to us the severity of his illness, but wanted to maintain hope.
Haav said he had spent the last weeks of his mother’s life all the time with him.
In the summer of 2024, a friend of Haavin took him to the doctor. Until then, Haav had continued to work at a normal pace and had not taken care of himself. Also this period he remembers Life only in the episode.
For Iltalehti, Haav told him that he had begun to actively go to therapy last fall.
– I was just in such a bad place with myself. My mental health did not stand the pressure cooker I was in. I do not think that pressure comes from a career, but about personal life.
