Pablo Deluca, head of Institutional Relations at Infobae, was the one who introduced “Fred” Machado to José Luis Espert during the 2019 presidential campaign, in a meeting in Buenos Aires in which Sergio Mastropietro also participated. Deluca, who has been working with Daniel Hadad for years, is mentioned in the bribery notebooks of Oscar Centeno, Roberto Baratta’s former driver. According to these records, the driver took three envelopes to offices linked to the media businessman: Channel 9, when it still belonged to Hadad; and the other two, delivered directly to Deluca at the Radio 10 offices. Hadad does not appear in the notebooks, but his historical collaborator does, who held different management positions in his companies, without journalistic functions.
Hadad’s entourage explained that those envelopes could have contained simple “résumés or newsletters.”
