Since last Friday, the area has been searched for a missing German tourist. The 32-year-old woman was last seen in the port of Volendam. She was on holiday with three friends and stayed on a motorboat in the harbour.
In recent days there has been an intensive search, both in the port and on the Markermeer. Boats, drones, helicopters and underwater drones were used. “We are also investigating the scenario that she may be in the water,” police previously said.
The three friends who stayed on the boat with the woman were questioned by the police at the station. According to the police, this happened ‘to find out more details about her.’ They have not been arrested, the spokesperson emphasizes.
