The nine-time world champion was injured during the race in Indonesia and opted for conservative treatment
The news was in the air and now the confirmation has also arrived: Marc Marquez will miss the weekends in Australia and Malaysia. The Ducati rider suffered a fracture at the base of the coracoid process and a ligament injury in his right shoulder. The clinical examination that the nine-time world champion underwent at the Ruber Internacional hospital in Madrid ruled out any link to previous injuries and also confirmed the absence of significant bone displacement. For this reason, the medical team led by doctors Samuel Antuña and Ignacio Roger de Oña opted for conservative therapy, which involves rest and immobilization of the affected shoulder until complete healing and clinical consolidation of the fracture.
Marquez’s words

“Fortunately the injury is not serious, but it is important to respect the recovery time,” said Marc Marquez. “My goal is to return before the end of the season, but without rushing things beyond the doctors’ recommendations. Both my personal goals and those of the team have been achieved, so now the priority is to recover well and return to 100%.”
