Director Gülşah Doğan took five years to make the film. “It is nicely filmed, nicely sculpted. I was really pleasantly surprised,” says Ruud van de Wint, “everything is in it: father and son, Broeders Keerer, family, art, struggle, are not giving up as we are. It is not a trick or staged.”

“The jury called it a royal drama,” adds Doğan. “That was stated in the report. A nice description.” Artist Ruud van de Wint himself also appears extensively in the film. Private images show how he is working.

‘Cloud cyclists, inheritance of a dream’ can be seen tonight at 10.40 pm at the hour of the Wolf on NPO2.
