Stuttgart beats basement and makes jumping in the table

After two Bundesliga victories in a series, Stuttgart wanted to add up to Heidenheim. However, VfB had a hard time against the Ostalb team.
VfB Stuttgart made it in fourth place in the table. The Swabians won a 1-0 home win against 1. FC Heidenheim. Stuttgart had long problems cracking the deep block of the guests. Only a precise shot from newcomer Bilal El Khannouss (65th minute) redeemed the team of coach Sebastian Hoeneß.
The scorer El Khannouss was one of three new ones who had ordered Hoeneß to start the starting eleven after the 0-2 on Thursday at FC Basel in the Europa League. For the first time in a long time, Angelo Stiller was only on the bench, but the regular captain Atakan Karazor began. In the 56th minute, Stiller came for Karazor.
The Stuttgart had a significantly more possession from the start, but found hardly any gaps in the defense network of the Heidenheimers. Opportunities such as from Badredine Bouanani, who grimaced freely in front of goalkeeper Diant Ramaj (7th), or by Jeff Chabot, who significantly tried it from a good 30 meters (31st), were rare.
Heidenheim, for his part, tried with attack -like attacks, which, of course, only bought a danger before the Stuttgart gate. For a long time the big exception: after a cross from Jonas Föhrenbach, Mikkel Kaufmann came to a close, Alexander Nübel tore his arms up in time (21st).
Also significant: the hosts only picked up the first corner kick in the 60th minute. At this point, however, VfB was already more powerful than before. Heidenheim could no longer close the rooms as consistently as in the first half. El Khannouss took out one of the gaps created in this way.
