The former NFL quarters and today’s TV expert Mark Sanchez suffered stab wounds in an incident in Indianapolis in the US state of Indiana. According to his employer Fox Sports, the 38-year-old is in the hospital in a stable state, but was arrested there on Saturday. Among other things, he is accused of assault and drunkenness in public.

Sanchez was in the city because of the planned broadcast of the NFL game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. According to the police, there was an argument between him and two other men shortly after midnight. Sanchez was injured. The police confirmed that he was still in the hospital and that he had not yet been admitted to the prison. The decision on a possible indictment is now with the public prosecutor.

As Fox Sports announced, the medical staff was grateful for the “exceptionally good care”. And further: “We are in our thoughts and prayers at Mark, and we ask everyone to respect his privacy and that of his family during this time.” In the television broadcast of the game at the TV station, he is now replaced by ex-quarterback Brady Quinn as an expert in analyzing the game.

DS former college talent Mark Sanchez was selected in 2009 as an eighth pick in the NFL draft by the New York Jets. He played in the league for a total of ten years, including for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys and Washington.
