Ilkay Gündogan saved Galatasaray in the Süperlig in the derby against Besiktas with his goal from the first defeat of the season.
The former captain of the national team scored the 1-1 final score in Rams Park at home and saved Galatasaray from an impending defeat in the derby.
Galatasaray, which had defeated FC Liverpool in the Champions League during the week, left points for the first time after seven victories at the start in the league. The series master (22 points) still has a comfortable lead of five points on Trabzon at the top of the table. Besiktas (13) missed a possible leap into the top group.
Tammy Abraham had given Besiktas in the lead in the 12th minute. After a shot from Orkun Kökcü, the Englishman switched the fastest, “Gala” goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir could only ward off the ball, Abraham got the lead.
