Ex-hockey player Jere Karalahti has been imprisoned for probable cause on suspicion of a serious drug offense.

The matter will be confirmed to Iltalehti in the Helsinki District Court.

The suspected crime occurred from June 1 to September 29, 2025 in Helsinki.

Imprisonment was required by a crime commissioner Markku Juurikkamäki. The deadline for prosecution is 15.1.2026.

Karalahti competed last weekend at the F2F boxing evening at the Helsinki Ice Hall. He lost the match ex-bodybuilder Matias Niemi against.

After the match, Karalahti announced that he had not been sparring as he prepared for the match.
