Mann-Filter-Team Landgraf and ID Racing with Herberth are well prepared for the season

The Mann-Filter Team Landgraf goes offensive into the new season. The declared goal of the racing team is to become German GT Champion in 2022.

As “PS on Air – The Ravenol ADAC GT Masters-Talk” reported on Sunday, the driver duo Raffaele Marciello (27/I) and Jonathan Aberdein (24/ZA) should put this ambitious plan into practice.

The online talk show also presented the “new skin” of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, known as the “Mercedes Mamba” because of its unusual design. The Landgraf Motorsport team also announced that they would send another car into the race. The crew is to be nominated in the next few days. The driver combination at ID Racing with Herberth, on the other hand, is certain: Robert Renauer (37/Jedenhofen) and Klaus Bachler (30/A) will start this season for the newly founded team from Lonsee in southern Germany in a Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The ADAC GT Masters starts the new season from April 22nd to 24th in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. All races will be broadcast live on the TV station NITRO on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:30 p.m.

Raffaele Marciello can look back on a long and impressive track record. The 27-year-old won the Formula 3 European Championship in 2013 and was the third driver of the Sauber F1 Team in 2015. Podium finishes in GP2 and titles in the Blancpain GT Series followed. Raffaele Marciello has been a Mercedes-AMG works driver since 2018 and celebrated his debut in the ADAC GT Masters in 2020. Since then, the Italian has had two wins and four podiums, finishing fourth overall in 2021.

His driver colleague Jonathan Aberdein initially gained racing experience in the ADAC Formula 4 and won the United Arab Emirates Formula 4 Championship in 2017. The South African then switched to the DTM, which he finished tenth in 2019. Team boss Klaus Landgraf: “I’m sure that together with our team and the top-class driver line-up we will ensure success in the new season as well. After successfully entering the international German GT Championship last year, it makes me proud to continue the partnership with Mann-Filter and the joint success story. We are all excited for the new season and the next chapter of the iconic Mann-Filter Mamba.”

At ID Racing with Herberth, team boss Iris Dorr relies on a fast driver duo with a lot of experience in Robert Renauer and Klaus Bachler. Robert Renauer made his debut in the ADAC GT Masters in 2008. Since then he has celebrated seven race victories, won the championship title in 2018 and was second overall twice – as a driver and as a team boss. Together with his twin brother Alfred, the 37-year-old runs the Herberth Motorsport racing team, with which he has previously been successful in the German GT Championship. This season, Robert Renauer will start for another team in the ADAC GT Masters for the first time in eight years with ID Racing with Herberth.

Klaus Bachler is entering his eighth GT Masters season. The Austrian has been at the top of the podium twice so far and finished fourth in the overall standings in 2015. As a long-distance specialist, the 30-year-old impressed with podium finishes at the 24-hour race in Dubai and Le Mans, among others. Iris Dorr: “This strong driver duo and our well-rehearsed team form a powerful package with which we will achieve good results even with the high level of competition in the ADAC GT Masters. The combined experience of Robert Renauer and Klaus Bachler will also help our new team to quickly acclimate to the German GT Championship. I’m looking forward to a successful season.”
