Nick Woltemade has long employed Bayern. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge therefore stuck towards VfB-he now reacts.

VfB Stuttgart reacted to the “idiots” statements by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. “We are always happy about congratulations from Munich,” said Stuttgart’s boss Alexander Wehrle of the “Bild” newspaper. This was preceded by an edge of the former CEO of FC Bayern, who internally spoke out against a multi-million transfer from Nick Woltemade.

On Sunday he said on Sunday: “I can only congratulate them in Stuttgart that they have found one – I now say in quotation marks – idiots who paid so much money – because we would not have done that in Munich.”

Woltemade switched to Newcastle United in summer. A transfer fee of around 90 million euros is rumored. Bayern were previously associated with a transfer in media reports, but the required transfer of over 60 million euros was too high.

“I said: We are in order of magnitude, I can no longer find them acceptable. We should not meet all the demands,” said Rummenigge, who, among other things, went to Uli Hoeneß, Herbert Hainer, Max Eberl and Jan-Christian Dreesen. Afterwards Woltemade went to England for “even more money”.

In addition to the German international, the Munich people didn’t get Florian Wirtz either. “We actually feel a bit sorry for Florian because he is a great player and I think he would have suited us perfectly too,” added Rummenigge. The offensive player switched from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool FC and has so far experienced a difficult start at the English champions.
