Because of an injury, Lukas Podolski lacked his team in an away game. Nevertheless, he was full of enthusiasm.
Lukas Podolski supported his Polish team Górnik Zabrze on the last Saturday at the away game in Krakow, upper body from the fan block. This is confirmed by an Instagram post by the 2014 world champion. “Poldi” can be seen in the picture as he clenches his fist.
Podolski wrote under the picture: “Incredible passion. This is football!”. His support at least partially helped, Zabrze separated with a 1-1 from Krakow.
As the Polish daily “Dziennik Zachodni” reports, Podolski lacked his team due to a calf injury. “It is a slight strain, Poldi needs some peace. He will soon be ready to play, but we have to give him time to recover,” said his coach Michal Gaspark.
Podolski has been playing Poland in his country of birth since 2021 and scored 25 goals in 123 games. However, things are not going well this season, so far the 40-year-old offensive player has not scored a goal.
