This time the decision for German football fans was really not easy. Five spectacular volleytore were available at the goal of the month of August. It has never been like that. Two fall backers, twice with the hoe and one with a shot. In the end, it was a head-to-head race of the two fall backs from Luca Herrmann and Lorenzo Paldino, which Herrmann won with around 56,000 votes.
The Dresdener gets more than 1,400 votes and so Herrmann’s beautiful goal is awarded the golden medal for the goal of the month.
An incredibly beautiful thing
Herrmann is certainly not one of the most dangerous midfielder in Germany. In 73 games in the 2nd and 3rd league, he only scores three goals. But the thing on August 24, 2025 in the game against Arminia Bielefeld was really well done.
It wasn’t easy. Because the two 1.90 meter tall Bielefeld defender slats Joel Felix and Maximilian Groß are relatively close to Herrmann when the butter -soft flank comes from the right wing with his 1.77 meters. “I will never get there with my head,” he may have thought and decides for the foot. Artistically, he puts his body horizontally in the air and kicks the ball stylistically from eleven meters in the mesh by falling back. Impressive.
The last TDM from Dynamo also a fall back
Herrmann’s gate fits wonderfully in the “fall recovery” on spectacular goals. Incidentally, Alfred Volk met in August 1973 for the very first time and – as it would like – the last goal of the month of a dynamo player also fell by falling back. Patrick Schmidt does it in March 2020.
The seventh TDM for Dresden
Luca Herrmann is the seventh scorer of the month of Dynamo Dresden. Uwe Rösler, Thomas Rath, Klemen Lavric, Pascal Testroet, Justin Eilers and Patrick Schmidt are called his black and yellow predecessors.
In the eternal TDM team ranking, Dresden is now leaving Wattenscheid, St. Pauli, Mainz and Union Berlin (all 6 goals) behind and pushes up to 18th place.
