Sofia, how were the beginnings in your profession?
At the end of my studies, I started collaborating in an integrative colony project in a club in my hometown. This space brought together children and adolescents, some with conditions related to disability, and used to summon advanced students from different professions. Next, I worked as an assistant to a psychopedagogue in an initial education group at the Integral School of Crespo (Entre Ríos) and, that same year, I served as a teacher to support inclusion in my dear primary school.
My first professional years were linked to the educational system, both in the common and special modality. In 2015, I received a degree in psychopedagogy and, the following year, I started working in the private sphere in interdisciplinary offices, work that I maintain until today.
In 2019, I decided to expand my horizon towards public health, performing both in primary care centers in Paraná and General Racedo, as well as in the Maternal Child Hospital of the provincial capital.
In recent years, I have also added experience in university teaching.
What are the services you provide to your patients?
I dedicate myself to clinical psychopedagogy, with a psychoanalytic perspective and specialization in the playful area. I provide care in private office to children and adolescents.
What projects do you have ahead?
Currently, I am specializing in early attention. In addition, I plan to develop projects related to the playful in group and preventive spaces, without neglecting my care work. I also want to continue with the formation and dissemination around the value of the game.
What are your differentials in the field?
I consider that my sustained training for more than ten years in the game area allows me to apply this approach to the different activities and tasks I do, making a difference in my way of addressing psychopedagogy.
If you started again, what would you do differently?
I would not change anything. Each experience has been significant and necessary to get here. I value having encouraged me to change, to explore new paths and always go for more, building step by step this present that I enjoy and appreciate.
