The second edition of the Crossroads festival took place on Friday evening in the Nieuwe Kolk in Assen. The blues festival was this year on the fourteenth day of death of blues icon Harry Muskee.

Chairman of the board Johan Kleine: “Where we had Americana in sight last year, we wanted to highlight the blues this year.” “And especially the further development of the blues, Kleine adds. That is reflected in all kinds of music genres. From jazz to boogaloo, a kind of Latin form.

The artists who played on the three stages come from home and abroad. Young bands from the north of the Netherlands were on the talent stage. In the main hall a mix of musicians from the Netherlands, Ireland and America. And the American Toby Lee played in the Van Gorcum room.
